Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

FieldTech Ops is an offline-first field operations application designed to assist organizations with technician workflow tracking, timekeeping, GPS-supported documentation, and operational reporting.

Information Collected

Data Usage

Information entered, generated, accessed, or stored through FieldTech Ops is used solely to support field operations, technician workflows, reporting, and organizational recordkeeping.

Data Sharing

FieldTech Ops does not sell user information and does not share information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

FieldTech Ops is designed as an offline-first application. Operational records are primarily stored locally on the device unless exported by the organization using the application.

Upon export, generated reports, spreadsheets, and other exported records become the responsibility and property of the organization that created or exported them. While exported records may utilize FieldTech Ops formatting, structure, or report layouts, the underlying operational data belongs to the organization using the application.

FieldTech Ops does not control, monitor, transmit, store, or manage exported records after they leave the application. Organizations are solely responsible for the handling, transmission, storage, security, distribution, retention, and use of exported information.

FieldTech Ops shall not be responsible for unauthorized access, interception, disclosure, alteration, misuse, loss, or distribution of exported records once they have been exported, shared, transmitted, or otherwise removed from the application environment.

Data Ownership

The organization using FieldTech Ops retains ownership of the operational information created, entered, recorded, or exported through the application, including technician activity records, work order information, timekeeping records, GPS coordinates, notes, change requests, and organization-specific reports.

FieldTech Ops does not claim ownership of the organization's underlying operational data.

FieldTech Ops retains all rights, title, and interest in the FieldTech Ops software, application design, branding, logos, workflows, report formats, export structures, templates, field arrangements, documentation, and other intellectual property associated with the application.

The organization's ownership of its operational data does not transfer ownership of the FieldTech Ops software or of the proprietary formatting, structure, layout, template, branding, design, and presentation used to organize or display that data.

Location Information

When location permission is granted, FieldTech Ops may access device location to associate GPS coordinates with technician travel, work, return-travel, or other recorded workflow events.

Location information is used for operational documentation and reporting. FieldTech Ops does not use location information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or sale to third parties.

Location access is subject to the permissions and controls available on the user's device. Disabling location permission may prevent certain GPS-supported features from functioning as intended.

Data Retention and Deletion

Operational and support-related records may remain stored locally until they are cleared, deleted, exported, removed through an authorized application function, or erased through removal or reset of the application or device.

Because FieldTech Ops is designed as an offline-first application and does not currently maintain a central user-account database for operational records, FieldTech Ops may not possess a separate remote copy that it can independently retrieve or delete.

Organizations are responsible for establishing and following their own record-retention, deletion, backup, and legal-compliance requirements for data created or exported through the application.

Support and Administrative Records

FieldTech Ops may maintain limited local records related to application administration, support access, recovery actions, security events, configuration changes, company-profile import or export activity, and other actions performed through support or administrative functions.

These records are maintained to support system integrity, troubleshooting, auditing, accountability, and application support. They are separate from the organization's technician and work-order records and do not change the organization's ownership of its operational data.

Support and administrative records are not automatically transmitted to FieldTech Ops. They may be reviewed or exported only through authorized application functions or when an organization voluntarily provides them for support purposes.

User-Initiated Exports and Transmission

FieldTech Ops may allow authorized users to create reports, spreadsheets, configuration files, support-history files, or other exports. Exporting, sharing, emailing, uploading, copying, or otherwise transmitting such files is initiated and controlled by the user or organization.

Once data is exported from the application, the organization assumes responsibility for selecting recipients and transmission methods and for the security, accuracy, retention, disclosure, storage, and lawful use of the exported information.

FieldTech Ops does not control third-party email systems, messaging services, cloud-storage providers, file-sharing platforms, devices, networks, or recipients used to transmit or store exported information.

Security

FieldTech Ops uses reasonable application-level measures intended to support controlled access, record integrity, configuration protection, and administrative accountability. However, no application, device, storage method, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Organizations are responsible for determining whether their use of FieldTech Ops and their handling of operational information satisfy applicable contractual, regulatory, privacy, employment, and recordkeeping requirements.

Children's Privacy

FieldTech Ops is intended for organizational and business use and is not directed to children under 13. FieldTech Ops does not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the application, legal requirements, support practices, or data-handling procedures. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
